They’re back! After days of teasing fans and sparking speculation with a cryptic video on social media, one of the UK’s most iconic bands, Take That have officially announced their return with a brand-new stadium tour – and Cardiff is on the list.
The legendary trio –Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald– will bring their spectacular new ‘Circus Tour’ to the Welsh capital at the Principality Stadium, promising fans another unforgettable night of music, energy and pure showmanship as the Circus rolls into the city on the 16th June 2026
Known for their jaw-dropping live productions, Take That are no strangers to breaking records. They currently hold the title for the most headline performances at London’s O2, with 34 shows, and their 2011 Progress tour remains one of the fastest-selling tours in UK history.
Welsh Take That fans will fondly remember the last time the band lit up the Principality Stadium for 2 nights in 2024, when the city came alive with thousands of voices singing along to classics like Rule the World, Back for Good and Greatest Day. That night cemented why Take That remain one of the country’s most loved and enduring acts.
The band said: The Circus tour was one of our favourite experiences as a band and, in the years since, we’ve talked many times about how much we’d love to do it again one day. Well, that time has come! We’re so excited to welcome audiences old and new across the UK and Ireland to the spectacle of The Circus Live next summer. See you out there!
Take That – The Circus Live – Summer 2026, will kick off at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on 29th May, with the band then playing a string of huge stadium dates around the UK & Ireland in Coventry, Sunderland, Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester, 2 epic nights at the London Stadium – where the band famously performed at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics – on 26th and 27th June, before heading to Dublin’s Aviva Stadium for the final show on the 4th July.
The Script, who supported Take That on the original Circus Live Tour in 2009, will return as very special guests on all UK shows in 2026, alongside pop royalty, Belinda Carlisle, who will also perform at all UK shows.
