As summer draws to a close, one of Cardiff’s most picturesque fields is set to transform into a magical open-air cinema. Clearwell Farm’s Sunflower Field will host a special Sunset Sunflower Cinema this August, bringing a perfect blend of film, nature and late-summer atmosphere.

The Screening will take place Sunday 31st August
Throughout the month, Clearwell Farm has welcomed visitors with everything from wine tastings to sunrise yoga, all set against the backdrop of its blooming fields. To mark the end of the summer holidays, the farm is hosting a special screening of Wicked (2024), inviting guests to watch the hit musical while surrounded by hundreds of golden sunflowers and sweeping views across the Welsh hillside.
Before the film begins, guests can explore the maize maze, grab a drink at the Sunset Bar, and enjoy live music as the sun dips below the horizon. Once the stars come out, the big screen will light up the fields, with the screening set to begin at 8:10pm SUNDAY 31st August
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs, though deckchairs can be hired for £5 per person. Tickets are priced at £15, offering a unique and unforgettable evening to close out the season.
With its mix of stunning scenery, live entertainment, and one of the biggest films of the year, the Sunset Sunflower Cinema at Clearwell Farm promises to be a standout summer memory for Cardiff.
