Santa's Post Train arrives at Mermaid Quay


Get your Christmas letters ready….. Santa’s post train will be stopping at Cardiff Bay on Thursday 7th December with his elves. Located right in the heart of Mermaid Quay, you can be the first to write your letter to Santa, post it in the magical post box and even get a reply from the Big Man himself.

There will be live music from Kitty’s Quartet Christmas Swing Band (12noon – 3pm), Sax for Fun (3pm – 6pm) and Rechoir (6pm – 8pm), plus Santa, a treasure hunt, face painting, mulled wine from Veeno, mince pies and lots, lots more from 12 noon to 8pm.

Check out the puzzles & games at the Techniquest Science Busking tent (12noon – 4pm only), and craft making demos & workshops with the Makers Guild Wales. Plus, there will be displays & sampling from Mermaid Quay’s cafés, restaurants & bars – including a sushi-making demo by Yakitori#1.

The Mermaid Quay shops will be open till at least 8pm – so why not pick up some gorgeous gifts from Zia Boutique, Polka Dot, Fabulous Welshcakes, Pavers and Ken Picton.

And, there will be host of exclusive special offers available on 7 December only.

Plus, of course, with more than 30 cafés, restaurants and bars there’s loads of great places to grab a bite to eat or drink or enjoy a leisurely meal – all overlooking Cardiff’s waterfront – to add to the fun.

It promises to be a right Christmas Cracker of a do – and it’s all free – so don’t miss out!
