A bit of mystery is cool. And every city has its’ secrets right? And some secrets you just can’t keep to yourself. Cardiff’s first unmarked bar is about to very subtly open it’s doors on Dumballs Road. It not only lacks a name but it doesn’t even have a phone?!  The only entrance marker is a white rabbit on the door and the only way to gain entry is by obtaining a secret password.

The main thing with this bar is, it’s a secret! Prohibition bars always need to be found, they are encouraging people to book as they are such a small space. On booking you will be give a clue of where to find it, and a password for entrance.

If you are lucky enough to get the secret password you will be taken down an alleyway and through a hidden door. You will then be taken into the unknown, shown to your table and given a menu of cocktails, craft beers and something to nibble on if you’re feeling peckish.

Those in the know are invited to an intimate yet raucous evenings inside, with guest mixologists, live jazz, and on Sundays through December they will be hosting Hog, Sparkle and Speakeasy. It’s the kind of place where you can order an ‘Old Fashioned’ and your friend can have a pint of beer. So if you’re a moonshiner, bootlegger or simply fancy a secret tipple there’s no judgment either way.

The bar is rumored to open on the 20th November and is a collaborative project between Bert n Ernie design and Depot, who want to bring a little bit of New York to Cardiff…..but remember, it’s a secret .

Entry will be free and if you want to book your place at the Secret Bar simply follow them on Twitter at @DTACardiff and keep your eye out for the events as they happen,
