PORI: CARDIFF’S NEW LATE-NIGHT BRUNCH SPOT

Cardiff’s brunch scene is about to get a serious upgrade with the arrival of Pori, a brand-new brunch and lunch spot opening soon on Trade Street . Opening Saturday 8th , the new late night spot has been given a complete refurb and a striking new look.

The independent venue comes from Sam Hooper & Ross Holland, formerly of La Pantera, which closes later this month. With a focus on great coffee, indulgent home bakes, and brunch dishes with a difference, Pori aims to bring something fresh and flavour-driven to Cardiff’s daytime dining scene.

Expect oozing toasted bloomer sandwichesquality ingredients, and a menu that balances comfort with creativity — all served in a laid-back, welcoming space designed for everything from lazy mornings to lively afternoons.

But Pori isn’t stopping there. The team are already working on a staple cocktail list and bottomless brunch options, with whispers of Sunday roasts making an appearance in the near future. It’s all part of a plan to evolve into a late-night brunch and cocktail destination, filling a gap in the city’s social dining scene.

“We want to offer high-quality food and drink at an affordable price,” says Sam. “Our small team has a mix of experience across Cardiff’s hospitality scene, and we can’t wait to welcome regulars through the door.”

” We’ve been talking about opening a venue together for a while now. We fell in love with the building, and thought the location would be perfect for us to grow and become a staple in the area. We’re excited to get to know the local residents, workers and passers by and show them what we’ve been working on “

With its creative menu, local ethos, in one of Cardiff most up and coming location, Pori looks set to become one of Cardiff’s staple brunch spots
