Popular Pick Your Own Pumpkin Experience Is Returning Bigger Than Ever for Halloween 2026

Pumpkin season is almost here, and one of the area’s popular autumn experiences is returning for 2026 with thousands of pumpkins, tractor rides, a bigger scare maze and an extended Twilight Picking Experience.

Pick Your Own Pumpkins 2026 will once again invite families and friends to jump aboard the tractor trailer and head out into the pumpkin patch to find their perfect pumpkin.

But there’s much more happening than simply picking one to take home.

During the day, visitors can pick their own pumpkins straight from the fields, before exploring the family-friendly Maze of Maize and discovering bigger and better seasonal photo opportunities across the site.

Tractor trailer rides will take visitors around the farm, while the Whacky Patch will showcase more than 20 different varieties of pumpkins and squash. Families can also meet the farm animals, climb and play on the hay bales and pose for pictures with Halloween characters The Wicked Duo.

There will also be plenty of seasonal food and drink available, alongside marshmallow roasting and the return of pumpkin catapulting for anyone who fancies seeing just how far they can launch one.

With plenty happening around the farm, the daytime experience is designed to be a full autumn day out rather than simply a quick trip to pick up a pumpkin.

But when darkness falls, things get considerably spookier.

For 2026, organisers have extended their popular Twilight Picking Experience to eleven evenings, giving visitors even more opportunities to experience the pumpkin fields after dark.

The patch will be illuminated for the evening sessions, transforming the farm into a Halloween experience filled with lights, entertainment and a few scares along the way.

One of the biggest changes for this year is the scare maze.

Organisers say the spooky maize maze will be larger than ever, with more twists and turns and additional scare actors waiting inside to bring the experience to life.

The entertainment continues outside the maze too, with stilt walkers and fire performers appearing during the evening sessions and adding to the Halloween atmosphere across the site.

Visitors will still be able to head into the illuminated pumpkin fields and choose their pumpkins during the Twilight experience, combining traditional pumpkin picking with an after-dark Halloween adventure.

Other activities include pumpkin catapulting for an additional £2, marshmallow roasting, meeting the animals and seasonal food and drink available throughout the evening.

The Twilight experience is recommended for ages eight and over due to the scarier nature of some of the activities, although organisers advise that this remains at parental discretion.

Anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult, and each Twilight ticket admits one person.

Whether you want a traditional autumn afternoon searching through the fields for the perfect pumpkin or fancy heading into the patch after dark, Pick Your Own Pumpkins 2026 is promising its biggest Halloween season yet.

Tickets are available from he Forage Farm and Kitchen website – www.foragefarmshop.co.uk/pick-your-own-pumpkins/#twilight
