Peter Pan Goes Wrong Crashes into Cardiff’s Wales Millennium Centre

The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society are back with another mishap performance of clever electric shocks and flying mishaps creating mayhem in Neverland.

Peter Pan Goes Wrong is a hilarious and wild sequel to the play that goes wrong, with the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society returning to our stages with equal amounts of crazy and slapstick fun. From start to finish, the show is an absolute riot that will have you laughing so hard you’ll fall off your seat!.

Walking into the theater, we were greeted by an unexpected sight – people cleaning up and sweeping the stage. Not your usual pre-show scene, right? But that was just the beginning of the orchestrated chaos that awaited us.

The whole electrical fault debacle kicked things off with a bang, getting the audience involved right away. We found ourselves passing an electrical cable through the crowd before the electric mayhem ensued. And let me tell you, the mishaps just kept coming.

Tinker Bell

Tinkerbell was a highlight, her costume adorned with lights on a short lead. They only lit up when she moved onto the stage, dragging the junction box and the poor electrician along with her – pure genius!

The costume changes were a riot, exposing the actors in all their hilarious glory. Mrs. Darling deserves a standing ovation for juggling so many characters with humour, skill, and flair. The amount of work they put in to making sure this show goes bad is through the roof.

John and Wendy

Hats off to the stage crew for seamlessly transporting us from one setting to another on a magical rotating stage – it felt like a whimsical roundabout!

What really made the evening unforgettable was my hearing my 8 year old’s infectious laughter. He caught every joke, relished the slapstick when things went haywire, and made it a delightful night for both of us. “Peter Pan Goes Wrong” delivered non-stop laughs and a fantastic time that we won’t soon forget.

If you’re suffering from the January blues, then Peter Pan Goes Wrong is a must-see show that will guarantee to put a smile on your face. The show runs for approximately 2 hours of crazy mishap fun, including a 20-minute interval, and is playing at the Wales Millennium Centre until Saturday, January 27th.
