[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Christmas is only a few days away and excitement is almost to much to handle for kids and grownups across Cardiff.
Families across Cardiff will be growing in their excitement ahead of Christmas with just a few more sleeps to go until the big day. Space experts NASA have revealed the exact times that ‘Santa’s sleigh’ will be visible for Cardiff boys and girls.
NASA has revealed that early birds will be able to get a faint glimpse of Santa’s sleigh in the night sky as he passes over Cardiff after completing his rounds on Christmas morning.
The world-renowned space agency has given us an exact time to look up at the stars to spot the main man himself and catch the glimmer of lights from his sleigh.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”29076″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]His sleigh – which is actually the ISS (International Space Station ) – is often spotted by families on Christmas Eve before celebrations continue the following day. This year ISS will be visible at two different times from Cardiff, allowing parents to keep any early-risers in bed until later in the morning when ‘Santa’ completes his return journey over the Wales.
Both sighting opportunities are in the very early hours on Christmas Day. According to NASA, the ISS is the third brightest object in the sky and easy to spot with the naked eye if you know where and when to look to the clouds.
NASA has said: “It is the third brightest object in the sky and easy to spot if you know when to look up. Visible to the naked eye, it looks like a fast-moving plane only much higher and travelling thousands of miles an hour faster.”
