Meat at 156 is the latest addition to growing culinary hotspot City Road in Cardiff, opening this Monday the new meaty venture will be serving up delicious burgers, steaks and shakes. Owner Fas is looking forward to being a part of the local foodie community and bringing ‘our family spirit to Cardiff’s colourful City Road’.
The focus at Meat at 156 is to make the raw ingredients the star of the show which is why they only use the best cuts of meat, which have been carefully sourced from across the U.K. Their aim is to focus on good quality ingredients and bring them together to create a fantastic food experience for their customers. All their meats are cooked on hot charcoals to lock in the juices and add a smokey, rich flavour.
The kitchen team will be stacking up delicious burgers like the Meat At Signature, served with American cheese and house sauce, The Texan, served with cheddar cheese, hickory BBQ sauce and crispy fried onion strings and the fiery Volcano, a juicy patty filled with a melting American cheese and jalapeño core, to name just a few!
As well as serving up some fantastic burgers and shakes, they’ll also be serving juicy prime 8oz Rib-eye, Rump and Sirloin steaks, a mammoth 14oz T-Bone and chicken and Quorn options, all cooked to perfection over hot coals.
Be sure to make a meal of it with all the classic sides and finish it off with one of their mega Shakes! Chose from delicious flavours like Chocolate Peanut Swirl, Cookie Crumble or the Doughnut Surprise!
To mirror the simple, quality ingredients which they use in the open kitchen, the guys have renovated 156 City Road in a way which really showcases the raw materials, meaning brick walls, exposed metal sheeting and quirky Edison LED bulbs!
The name ‘Meat at 156’ comes from the three owners who used to arrange meetings to discuss the menu and food and say to one another, ‘let’s meet at…’ and eventually Meat at 156 was born!
