Over the past few years fun-lovers have flocked to Cardiff Bay’s urban beach to make the most of the brilliant entertainment and attractions on offer at this time of year, and this summer looks set to be the beach’s busiest and most ambitious yet.  Not only is the beach going to be more realistic than ever, the summer park built around is getting bigger and better by the year.

There are lots of attractions to look forward to. There will be ‘Mission Space’ (a 40-metre swing ride that sounds both thrilling and petrifying), a runaway train ride, the ‘Pirate Party’ funhouse, a ghost train, a ‘Crazy Frogs’ ride, the Twist, a ‘Magic Mouse’ spinning rollercoaster, two white knuckle rides called ‘Top Scan’ and ‘The Beast’, as well as bumper cars, stalls, children’s rides and various skill games.

And if you feel like putting your feet up and relaxing, or maybe having a dance and a singalong, there will be a huge, shaded entertainment area packed with live daily entertainment – free of charge!

As if that wasn’t enough, a food and drink area will be on-site to keep you refreshed throughout those sunny days. There will be ample options to choose from including a tropical beach bar, a beach grill house, a toastie van, and all the bubble waffles, burros and halloumi wraps you could want.

The beach is going to be more realistic than ever, with over 500 tonnes of sand on the site, as well as deckchairs and beach huts to give you the full beach experience. As if that wasn’t enough – another new addition this year will be a a water splash area, which will be free to enter!

Even though there are plenty of thing on-site that are free of charge, if you do feel like forking out while you’re at the beach there will be ATMs available at your convenience.
