How do you like your eggs? – The Botanist launches brand new brunch menu

Award-winning restaurant The Botanist is celebrating their brunch menu by taking an interactive egg on tour and encouraging people to ‘brunch your own way’.

For those who don’t know, The Botanist is home to unusual yet perfectly crafted cocktails and flavoursome food. The unique bar and restaurant is complete with stunning interiors and foliage aplenty, which makes for a luscious and serene atmosphere.

Whilst the restaurant is renowned for its famous Hanging Kebabs and botanical cocktails, they’re now branching out with an exciting (and huge) new brunch menu! The concept is this: a brunch board where diners can choose five items from an extensive menu for £15.95 per person. If you’re keen to try any additional dishes, they can be added at £3 each.

The wealth of options available mean customers can mix and match each time they visit, trying out several dishes in whatever combination they desire. Breakfast tapas if you will!

People can choose: a pastry from the bakery; a protein punch (eggs, eggs and more eggs); something hearty, that is meat and fish; something ‘on the side’ including fruit, yoghurt or even mini hash browns; or a sweet treat to finish, such as sugary toast toppers or overnight oats.

Many items on the brunch menu are suitable for vegans and where they are not, there are plant-based alternatives such as vegan sausages, tofu, and sourdough toast with nut butter. Children are catered for too with a three-item mini board for £5.95 and a fruit water for an additional £1.50.

As for the adult drinks, it wouldn’t be The Botanist without any weird and wonderful cocktails on offer. These include an Aperol spritz and the ultimate brunch cocktail: the Bloody Mary, complete with seasonal twists for those willing to try something new.

If it’s a boozy brunch you’re after, there is also a bottomless drinks option for £15.95 where guests can choose between: spritz, prosecco or a house pint. Alternatively, there are a selection of freshly prepared non-alcoholic juice boosts for that morning kick.

To share this wonderful new menu with the people of Cardiff, The Botanist will be asking people ‘how do you brunch?’ by taking an egg on a road trip – that’s right, for one week as of Monday 18th July between 11am and 5pm, the public will be able to see a giant interactive egg in Queen’s Arcade.

Eager egg hunters will find a giant egg chair for brunch-inspired photos, as well as an opportunity to ‘treat your friend to brunch’ for free. To redeem the offer, visit the egg in its Queen’s Arcade location, scan the QR code and book a table for two for brunch and voila… one guest will dine for free! The booking must be before 21st August and within brunch service hours (9am-11:30am).
