Mermaid Quay is inviting families to join a free, fun-filled Easter celebration this April with its brand-new Mermaid Quay Explorers: Pet Edition event – a perfect day out for young adventurers and animal lovers alike.
Running from Saturday 12th April to Sunday 27th April 2025, the self-guided trail will take little explorers on a journey around Mermaid Quay, where they’ll discover fascinating facts about pets as they follow clues and complete their trail map. Once completed, maps can be posted into the special post box located in The Atrium (outside the public toilets) for a chance to win a prize.
Adding to the Easter excitement, The Rescue Hotel, a volunteer-run charity supporting Cardiff Dogs Home, will be on site on Saturday 12th April from 12pm to 4pm. Visitors can learn more about the important work the charity does and support them by purchasing branded merchandise – with 100% of the proceeds going towards the care of dogs in need.
Also on Saturday 12th April, ACT Training will be demonstrating K9 first aid, giving families the chance to pick up essential pet safety tips.
To top it all off, there’ll be free face painting on Wednesday 16th and Wednesday 23rd April, from 12pm to 4pm, letting little ones transform into their favourite animals or Easter characters.
