SOUL stalwart Gladys Knight follows up the announcement of her 2019 summer tour with another announcement that the Empress of Soul will also be heading to Cardiff!

Gladys Knight will take to the road for an ten-date UK tour in Jun 2019. The tour begins on Sat 22 Jun at the O2 Apollo in Manchester stopping at a host of venues along the way, including two nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London and finishing in Cardiff on the 6th July.

 

Tickets for the shows are on sale Friday 19th October

 

The 74-year-old singer rose to fame in the 60s as part of Gladys Knight and The Pips on the famed Motown record label. She is a seven-time Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who has recorded more than 40 studio albums.

Knight is regarded as one of the finest vocalists of all time and her discography boasts some of the most famous Motown records to date including: ‘Midnight Train To Georgia’, ‘That’s What Friends Are For’, ‘Help Me Make It Through The Night’, ‘The Way We Were’, ‘You’re The Best Thing’ as well as her James Bond theme song ‘Licence To Kill’.
