Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters are heading to Cardiff Bay this Halloween, bringing two days of iconic movie vehicles, costumed characters and family-friendly fun to The Red Dragon Centre.
Film and TV fans are in for a treat this Halloween half term as Ghostbusters Celebrations Wales: Fandoms Unite takes over The Red Dragon Centre on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, with a packed programme of activities for all ages.
Running from 10am to 4pm each day, visitors can look forward to costumed characters, pop-culture stalls, movie props and plenty of photo opportunities, all while helping to raise funds for Welsh children’s hospice charity Tŷ Hafan.
Iconic Movie and TV Vehicles on Display
One of the biggest attractions of the weekend will be an impressive collection of vehicles from some of the most recognisable films and television shows.
The Centre’s outdoor space will host a different line-up each day, giving visitors a reason to return for both days.
Saturday 31 October will see a collection of Ghostbusters Ecto vehicles arriving in Cardiff Bay, giving fans the chance to get up close to the famous ghost-hunting cars.
On Sunday 1 November, the line-up changes to include some other familiar favourites:
- The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van
- The Supernatural Impala
- The Bluesmobile
- Bumblebee
It’s a chance for fans of all ages to see some legendary screen-inspired vehicles up close and grab a few photos along the way.
Free Spooky Science Workshops
Adding to the Halloween fun, Experimental Science will be hosting free, hands-on workshops between 12pm and 4pm on both days.
The workshops will feature spooky science activities designed to spark curiosity and give children the chance to get involved in some Halloween-themed experiments.
Alongside the science sessions, visitors can explore the event’s pop-culture stalls, meet costumed characters and discover a range of movie props.
And with The Red Dragon Centre home to cinema, dining and entertainment attractions, families can easily turn the visit into a full day out in Cardiff Bay.
Supporting Tŷ Hafan
The weekend isn’t just about celebrating some of the biggest names in film and television.
