Dinomania Roars into National Museum Cardiff

Get ready for a roarsome adventure as Dinomania takes over National Museum Cardiff for a week during the May Half term, bringing a prehistoric party packed with fun, learning, and larger-than-life dinosaurs.

Designed especially for families and dino-loving little ones aged 3 and over, this 90-minute experience offers the chance to come face-to-face with baby dinosaurs, meet the mighty Spike the Spinosaurus, and dive deep into the world of ancient fossils. But be warned – those baby dinos may be cute, but they’ve been known to nibble a finger or two!

One of the main highlights is Spike, a huge walking Spinosaurus who’s ready to strut his stuff and show off his impressive roar. Alongside the live action, visitors will have the chance to explore Dinomania’s fossil collection up close, with fascinating specimens and fun facts waiting to be discovered. Ever wondered how fast a T. rex could run or what a real Velociraptor looked like? This is the place to find out.

The event is split into two parts: a 45-minute live show followed by a 45-minute free-roam session, where you can meet the dinosaurs, take photos, and explore interactive exhibits at your own pace. It’s all delivered in English and designed to entertain, educate, and ignite imaginations.

Tickets are priced at £15 per adult and £15 per child, and with limited availability, booking in advance is essential. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult, and please note, tickets are non-refundable.

This event is a collaboration between Dinomania and National Museum Cardiff and promises to be an unforgettable day out for families during the May Half term from 28th May – 1st June. Don’t miss your chance to step back in time and experience the magic of the dinosaurs right in the heart of the city.

Inclusivity is a key focus too, with British Sign Language-interpreted sessions available. Just be sure to book the designated BSL time slot and confirm your requirements during booking.
