Coffi Co move into Bosphorus at Mermaid Quay

The Turkish restaurant Bosphorus  the staple resident of Mermaid Quay has sadly closed it’s doors after 11 years.
The property was put on the market a couple of months ago and now moving into the iconic water side property will be the independent coffee house Coffi  Co.
Coffi Co opened its doors in March 2015, opposite the Doctor Who Experience with lots of outdoor and indoor seating overlooking spectacular views of the Bay. Using old shipping containers, Coffi Co incorporate the shipping heritage of Cardiff Bay into a striking contemporary coffee shop.
Coffi Co’s original structure was based on a 20 ft standard container joined to a 40 ft High Cube to create a unique open plan space. This has since expanded to create one of Cardiff’s most unique coffee spots.

Since 2015 the brand has experienced exceptional success and have launched new branches in Porthcawl and Cardiff University Student’s Union in the last year.
Coffi Co are embarking on their 4th site ( Coffi Co Lounge)and  will open in the heart of Cardiff Bay at the iconic Mermaid Quay site later this month with more to offer than the other sites.
Owner Justin Carty said the Coffi co lounge  will follow in the same footsteps as the other sites, with the emphasis being on offering good food and signature coffee in a relaxed family environment.
He believes your Coffi experience shouldn’t be bland and boring – and that’s before we even get to the Coffee. Your Coffi experience will start with their interior, recycled from whatecer they can use, to create an environment that will certainly catch your eye.
Aside from home made cakes and coffee, Coffi Co are crafting an exciting Christmas Coffi pop-up in the heart of Cardiff Bay. The same great Coffi Co experience but with a festive twist at the former Bosphorus Pontoon in Cardiff Bay.
Coffi Co move into the old Bosphorus site this week ready to open to the public on the 20th October. The Venue will be available to hire privately for Christmas Parties, events and corporate celebrations.
