Cardiff Night Market Returns for a Special Festive Evening Celebration

Cardiff’s historic Central Market will come alive after dark this season, opening its doors for a special late-night event on Friday, November 15, 2024. Known as one of Cardiff’s most iconic and vibrant landmarks, the Grade II*-listed Central Market has been a city fixture since 1891, sitting on the grounds of Cardiff’s old farmers’ market and Cardiff jail, where Dic Penderyn, a prominent figure of the Merthyr Uprising, was hanged in 1831. This night promises to showcase the market’s history and character as it joins the city in celebrating the start of the Christmas season.

Running from 6 pm to 9 pm, Cardiff After Dark will coincide with City of Arcades Day on November 16th and the Immersive Light Trail launch on November 14, all part of a series of events from FOR Cardiff. Together, these events will transform Cardiff city centre into a festive wonderland, offering exclusive events, entertainment, discounts, and unique experiences for everyone to enjoy.

If you’re a fan of historic architecture, festive markets, and immersive city experiences, mark your calendar for a truly magical evening in Cardiff’s Central Market—where tradition meets Christmas spirit in one of the city’s most storied settings.
