Brother Thai Pop-up

After a residency at The Depot’s weekend street food socials, Brother Thai will be teaming up with the craft beer specialist Brewdog to launch their first Kitchen Takeover. On Thursday February 4th, Brother Thai will be serving up their classic Bangkok street food dishes, as a perfect accompaniment to the eclectic array of beers available.

Brewdog are no strangers to kitchen takeovers, in 2015 they ran a series of themed nights with street food’s favourites Hangfire Smokehouse. We all know how well they have done recently.

Brother Thai was launched in May last year, by Cardiff couple Andrew and his fiance Shelly. They’ve been building up a strong following with their stall at The Depot warehouse and this year promises to deliver even more. Andrew sites inspiration from his Bangkok heritage and his mum’s home cooking.

Brother Thai Feature

“I’ve always admired the straight forward, down to earth appeal of Thai food. I have some great memories of visiting Bangkok and spending our time eating at the bustling street food stalls. At Brother Thai, we’ve tried to keep our dishes as simple as possible, cooking with fresh ingredients and balancing those key Thai flavours – sweet, sour, salty and spice. We’re really excited to be collaborating with Brewdog, and can’t wait to see what beers they’ll match to our menu”.

You can catch Brother Thai’s Kitchen Takeover at the Brewdog bar on Westgate Street on 4th February at 6pm until they’re sold out.
