A brand-new family attraction has arrived in Cardiff Bay as Brick Draig officially launches today (15 July) at The Red Dragon Centre.
Running until 31 August, the free experience marks the public debut of 12 incredible brick-built baby dragons, giving families the chance to meet the magical hatchlings for the very first time.

Each dragon represents one of the four elemental worlds – Fire, Earth, Water and Air – and has its own unique eco mission. Together, they’re beginning their journey to become guardians of the elements, but they need the help of young explorers to discover where they truly belong.
The adventure begins in the Dragons’ Den, where families can meet the full collection of dragons before scanning a QR code to start their interactive quest.
Visitors will then follow dragon egg floor markers hidden throughout The Red Dragon Centre, solving clues to match each dragon to its correct elemental realm.

Once all 12 dragons have found their home, children can make their own eco pledge and discover which dragon realm they belong to.
Emma Constantinou, Marketing Manager at The Red Dragon Centre, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Brick Draig to The Red Dragon Centre and to be the first venue to showcase these fantastic new brick-built dragon models. We know families are always looking for great-value ways to spend time together during the school holidays, so we’re really pleased to be offering an experience that’s free to enjoy. Combined with everything else the Centre has to offer, Brick Draig makes for a memorable family day out at our home of fun this summer.”
Designed to combine interactive storytelling with environmental themes, Brick Draig encourages children to explore, imagine and learn while enjoying a fun, hands-on adventure.
And once you’ve completed the trail, there’s still plenty more to enjoy. With bowling, the cinema, restaurants and family entertainment all under one roof, The Red Dragon Centre offers everything you need for a great day out during the summer holidays.
Brick Draig is free to take part and runs at The Red Dragon Centre until 31 August.
