To celebrate 25 years since the theatrical release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, a replica of the iconic Platform 9¾ luggage trolley is coming to Cardiff.
Now, fans outside London will have the chance to be part of the magic and experience one of the most recognisable and photographed Harry Potter attractions in the world, welcoming millions of fans each year to London’s King’s Cross Station.
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the theatrical release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, a replica of the iconic Platform 9 ¾ trolley will be making its way to cinemas across the UK, bringing a touch of Hogwarts magic directly to local communities and giving fans of all ages a unique opportunity to celebrate the magic of the wizarding world closer to home.
Fans attending participating cinemas can capture commemorative photos and immerse themselves in the world that has enchanted generations for 25 years.
To further celebrate the 25th milestone of the film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is being re-released in theatres globally, featuring 12 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage debuting on the big screen for the first time.
Originally released in 2001, the first Harry Potter film brought J.K.Rowling’s magical story to life on the big screen and quickly enchanted audiences worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year and launching one of the most beloved franchises in entertainment history. Still, 25 years on, the magic continues to inspire fans old and new.
For a limited time, audiences in Cardiff will have the opportunity to relive Harry’s first journey from London to Hogwarts, and celebrate the film that introduced the world to Harry, Ron and Hermione.
