Following the success of the 20th anniversary concert last Christmas, the acclaimed Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra return with A Night at the Movies!

 GET ready to experience the glitz and glamour of Tinseltown as St David’s Hall is transformed into Hollywood on Friday 4 December.

 The ever-popular show features a medley of family favourites from the silver screen including spectacular selections from Frozen, The Lion King and My Fair Lady; plus the atmospheric James Bond theme Skyfall.

Furthermore, the entire second half of this year’s concert is dedicated to John Williams’ iconic music from Star Wars. There’s no better way to get in the mood for Episode VII: The Force Awakens, which is released just days later!

Expect awe-inspiring pieces from the entire original trilogy of A New Hope, The Empires Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi with some of the most magnificent and memorable music ever written for the movies. The incredible Star Wars theme is one of the truly magical moments in film, whilst The Imperial March immediately brings to mind the devious Darth Vader and his sinister Stormtroopers!

Once again the concert is conducted by the masterful Michael Bell.
