The Pup Up Cafe is back in Cardiff for the second visit of 2024, after a successful event in January that saw over 100 dachshunds through the doors. This time they have over 150 dogs already registered to attend more than previous years.
If you’re a fan of dachshunds, or sausages as they are affectionately known, you won’t want to miss the Pup Up Cafe event coming to Cardiff in March. The Pup Up Cafe is a pop-up event that brings together hundreds of adorable dachshunds and their owners for a day of fun, socialising, and treats.
The event will take place at the Brewhouse & Kitchen, a cosy pub and brewery in the heart of the city, March 30th. The venue will be transformed into a dachshund paradise, with plenty of toys, games, and photo opportunities for the paw-fect guests. There will also be a range of stalls selling dachshund-themed merchandise, such as clothing, accessories, and artwork.
The Pup Up Cafe is open to all dachshund owners and lovers alike, whether you have one, two, or a whole pack of sausages. Their will be two sessions for dachshunds then one for all other friendly dogs.
You can book your tickets online, choosing from three time slots: 10am-12pm, 12:30pm-2:30pm, or 3pm-5pm. Each ticket costs £10( £9.50 +booking fee ) for dachshund owners and £15 for dachshund lovers, tickets includes a free drink and a goodie bag.
The event is organised by Pup Up Cafe, a company that specialises in creating pop-up events for different dog breeds across the UK. They have previously hosted events for pugs, French bulldogs, cockapoos, and more. Their aim is to provide a safe and friendly environment for dogs and their owners to meet, mingle, and have fun.
Event planer Marcus Ackford said: “We love hosting events in Cardiff! We’ve been hosting for over five years now and the people & dogs of Wales always seem to get friendlier! We love hosting at our new venue, the Brewhouse & Kitchen as it’s so open and light whilst also being safe and secure for the dogs! We can’t wait to see all of Cardiff’s dogs next month!”
So, what can you expect from the Pup Up Cafe event?
- Mingle with up to 50 dachshunds per session. You’ll get to meet and greet other dachshund owners and their sausages, and make some new friends along the way. You’ll also get to see a variety of dachshunds, from mini to standard, from smooth to wire-haired, from black and tan to dapple and piebald. You’ll be amazed by the diversity and cuteness of this breed.
- Photos taken by our photographer. You’ll have the chance to capture some memorable moments with your dachshund and other sausages, thanks to our professional photographer. You’ll get to pose with props, backgrounds, and accessories, and get some high-quality photos to cherish and share. You’ll also get to see your photos featured on our social media pages and website.
- Unlimited puppuccinos and treats for all the doggos. Your dachshund will be spoiled with free puppuccinos and treats, courtesy of our sponsors and partners. You’ll get to watch your pooch enjoy some delicious snacks and drinks, and maybe even sneak a bite yourself.
- Safe, secure, and staffed space for our ‘off lead time’. Your dachshund will have the opportunity to run, play, and explore in a designated area, where they can be free from their leash and have some fun. You’ll get to relax and watch your pooch have a blast, while our staff and volunteers keep an eye on them and ensure their safety and comfort. You’ll also get to join in the games and activities, such as fetch, tug-of-war, and agility courses.
- Lots of photo ops and bits for pups to keep busy. Your dachshund will never get bored at the Pup Up Cafe, as there will be plenty of things to see and do. You’ll get to snap some selfies and group photos with other sausages and owners, using our props and signs. You’ll also get to browse some of the stalls and shops, where you can find some unique and quirky items for your dachshund, such as collars, harnesses, toys, beds, and more.
- Local dog businesses to browse. You’ll get to discover some of the local dog businesses that cater to your dachshund’s needs, such as groomers, trainers, walkers, sitters, and vets. You’ll get to chat with them, get some tips and advice, and maybe even book some services or appointments. You’ll also get to support some of the local charities and organisations that help dogs in need, such as rescue centres, shelters, and foster homes.
The organisers say that Cardiff is always a sell out event, so you better be quick with your tickets if you don’t want to miss out on this sausage Party.
