The Cardiff Music City Festival continues with more music throughout the city and we went along to the Classic rock Show at the Wales Millennium Centre and it was and absolutely fantastic show from start to finish! If you love classic rock, this is a must-see. The atmosphere was brilliant, the music was incredible, and the energy on stage was amazing. The addition of the child ensemble for a couple of songs added a real sense of fun and the kids were super talented! It was a real trip down memory lane, with all the favourites like Queen and Led Zeppelin it really was a celebration of some of the greatest rock anthems of all time. Luke Bradshaw is an absolute genius with the guitar and some of his solo pieces were jaw dropping.

The Wales Millennium Centre was a brilliant venue for the show, making the whole experience even more special. Whether you’re a lifelong rock fan or just love great live music, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, at the start of every song I could hear the crowd excitement as they realised what track it was. Rory and Sammy were a great double act and added a real sense of fun to the evening. Sammy’s cow bell playing was legendary!
An unforgettable night of great music, my favourite being ‘School’s Out’ because of the addition of the children, and I also sang my heart out to Fleetwood Mac- Chains. Therese was so much amazing talent and plenty of feel-good nostalgia. Highly recommended – I would definitely go again!
The Cadiff Music City festival continues with SWN festival over the weekend with 100s of bands playing across the cities venues.
