Edie & Ludlow has been appointed as the marketing and communications agency supporting Fiji’s highly anticipated international fixture against Wales at Cardiff City Stadium this July.
The appointment follows a series of meetings held in Cardiff last week involving Fiji Rugby CEO Koli Sewabu, Director Lailanie Burnes, Cardiff City Stadium representatives, Welsh Rugby stakeholders and senior figures across Welsh sport and business, alongside Nigel Payne DL, President of the Consular Association of Wales.
The fixture forms part of rugby union’s newly launched Nations Championship and marks a hugely significant moment for Fiji Rugby, with Cardiff selected to host Fiji’s opening “home” fixture against Wales in what is expected to become one of the standout occasions of the summer rugby calendar.

More than simply an international match, the event is expected to bring together sport, culture, tourism, business and community engagement through a major programme of activity taking place across Wales in the lead-up to the fixture.
Working alongside Fiji Rugby and Welsh stakeholders, Edie & Ludlow will lead communications, strategic partnerships, media relations and promotional activity surrounding the event.
The project is expected to include international media engagement, city-wide promotional activity, commercial partnerships, hospitality experiences, tourism collaboration and cultural storytelling designed to position the fixture as one of the defining sporting occasions in Cardiff this summer.
Alexandra Otley, Founder of Edie & Ludlow, said:
“This is such an exciting appointment, not only from a sporting perspective but from a cultural and international one too.
Fiji Rugby carries enormous global respect, passion and identity, and there is a genuine opportunity here to create something incredibly special around the fixture in Cardiff.
Cardiff is a city that embraces major sporting occasions, and we believe this has the potential to become one of the standout international events of the summer.”
Further announcements surrounding partnerships, activations, hospitality experiences and wider match-week activity will be announced in the coming weeks.
Fiji Rugby v Wales takes place at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday 4th July 2026.
