NuLife Furniture Finds a New Home in Cardiff

If you’ve got old furniture to clear out or you’re looking to pick up a bargain, there’s a new spot in Cardiff worth knowing about.

NuLife Furniture, the not-for-profit shop focused on tackling furniture poverty and reducing waste, has moved into a bigger, more accessible showroom just off Newport Road.

Previously based on Dumballs Road, the move gives the team more space to expand what they do, offering a wide range of pre-loved furniture and white goods ready for resale. From sofas and chairs to beds, cabinets and even unused washing machines, there’s a mix of everyday essentials and the occasional vintage find.

The idea behind NuLife is simple. Instead of furniture going to landfill, it gets donated, refurbished where needed, and given a second life in the showroom. Some items are sold as they are, while others are upcycled into something new.

The impact has already been significant. NuLife has helped 274 families, many referred through social housing, and has saved more than 7,700 items from going to landfill.

As a not-for-profit, the project relies heavily on donations and volunteers to keep things going. If you have furniture in good, clean and reusable condition, they will even collect it free of charge, making it easier to pass items on rather than throw them away.

They accept a wide range of items including:

  • Sofas and chairs
  • Beds
  • Drawers and cabinets
  • White goods
  • Electrical and household items

The new showroom is open daily from 9am to 5pm, offering affordable furniture while supporting a wider mission to help the community and reduce waste.

For anyone looking to donate, shop or get involved, NuLife is giving old furniture a proper second chance.
