Oreo a biscuit lover?  Will only a Jammie Dodger do it?  To feed the nations love of the sweet treats this National Biscuit Day, Bird & Blend Tea Co. unveils its limited edition and brand new range of biscuit flavour teas, including its classic, Chocolate Digestives, and there’s a flavour for everyone.

To celebrate the new flavours on the big day, Bird & Blend also launches its first ever Dunkathon Challenge and competitors are invited to dunk their favourite biscuit in the new flavours; Gingernut Biscuit, Jammy Dodgers, Caramelised Biscuit, Custard Cream, Cookies & Cream and its classic, Chocolate Digestives.  Competitors can also choose from the other 100+ flavours on its tea wall on the day too.

TO TAKE PART IN THE DUNKATHON;

Good things crumb to those that wait.  25 seconds is all it’ll take to win a free cuppa on the day.

A choice of biscuits will be available to choose from; will a Chocolate Digestive be the victor or will it be the Custard that gets the Cream – the chosen biscuit will need to be dunked for 25 seconds without breaking.

If the chosen biscuit has a soggy bottom and breaks, the competitor will leave with no free cuppa, but that’s just the way the cookie crumbles!

The Dunkathon Challenge will take place at the following stores:

 Cardiff Bird & Blend in Castle Arcade.

Every day is really a dunking tea day at Bird & Blend Tea Co. but Monday 29th May is a nationwide British celebration of all the biscuits in the land.

According to a study by the British BMJ last year, the Chocolate Digestive was the second most dunkable biscuit, behind the oaty hobnob, and only loses 15% of its crunchiness after being dunked…Bird & Blend challenges you to find your best dunker on the day with all the brew biccies available to choose from.

Take the Dunkathon Home;

For anyone that can’t make it into the store, or wants to create a Dunkathon Challenge at home, they can still brew the perfect dunking cuppa to celebrate, follow these simple steps from Krisi Smith, Co-Founder & award-winning, Chief Tea Mixologist at Bird & Blend Tea Co.
