The legendary club night, Enter the Dragon, returns with two superstar DJs for a massive event
Enter The Dragon, Roar, Time Flies and Lamerica….for clubbers of a certain generation, these iconic clubbing brands were synonymous with incredible nights out and treasured memories in Cardiff in the naughties.
Now, DJ legends Mauro Picotto and Fergie will return to Cardiff on September 23rd for a huge rave with the legendary club night Enter the Dragon, with a massive event that is geared up to reignite the club night for a series of new events.
The first event will be held at the DEPOT, which can accommodate over 2,000 people, and promises to be a memorable night that takes party-goers back to a golden era in Cardiff’s clubbing history.
True to Enter the Dragon fashion, the night will feature incredible visual and sound production, stilt walkers, fire breathers, dancers, and other surprises reminiscent of the legendary era of dance music. It will be the perfect finale for an incredible summer of events in Cardiff.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”29703″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Enter the Dragon was one of the biggest weekly parties in the city, held at Vision 2k from 2000 to 2003. The club became synonymous with hedonistic all-night parties, featuring the best of UK and international DJs and a resident team that was equally admired by their audience. This quickly earned Enter the Dragon legendary status among clubbers locally and nationwide.
The chance meeting of DJ Jimpy and Andy Wheeler at a club in the South Wales Valleys started a relationship that is still as strong as ever today.
Andy explained, “Those were crazy times. We loved the Friday night vibe, and it was always great to see everyone having a fantastic time. They were special days, and I think we’re still recovering. Jim and I got together at that time; you could call it destiny as we just clicked, and we both wanted the same thing: putting on parties and putting smiles on everyone’s faces.”[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”29771″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Over the years, during those halcyon days, Enter the Dragon hosted some of the biggest nights in the scene. In recent years, they have put on successful reunion parties featuring DJ’s John 00 Fleming and JFK but this is a huge event marking the return of the Dragon with more large events planned.
This year, they are planning to organise an event on a larger scale that harks back to the significant nights they hosted from 2000-2003.
