Leading food-on-the-go retailer, Greggs, is opening a 1,165 sq ft shop at Mermaid Quay, Cardiff’s most popular leisure destination on Saturday 19 March 2016,creating 12 new jobs.

The shop, which will be located on Bute Street, has been designed to meet the demands of busy visitors, offering customers a contemporary food-on-the-go experience. Seating and Wi-Fi is also available for those who wish to relax and enjoy
their purchases inside the shop.

The shop will offer savories and sandwiches, freshly prepared throughout the day, as well as a range of confectionary products. Those looking for a lighter option can sample the Balanced Choice range; a selection of sandwiches, salads, soups,
porridge and fruit – all under 400 calories. Customers can also enjoy a wide range of hot drinks, including freshly ground coffee which is made with a unique blend of 100% Fairtrade Arabica beans and rich-tasting Robusta beans.

Located on the waterfront in the heart of Cardiff Bay, the 150,000 sq ft Mermaid Quay has become a must-visit spot for tourists and day trippers from across the South Wales area as well as a regular haunt for the large and ever growing residential and office worker populations of the Bay.

Mermaid Quay is home to a wide range of popular international food & beverage operators, including major brands such as Bill’s, Carluccio’s, Costa, Cote Brasserie, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Nando’s, Pizza Express, Strada, Starbucks, wagamama and
Zizzi, as well as a number of local independent restaurants and bars. Commenting on Greggs joining the Mermaid Quay line up, Justin Patel, Centre Manager at Mermaid Quay said:

Shop opening times are 7am – 7pm Monday – Saturday and 9am – 5.30pm on Sundays.
