This isn’t breaking news.  I’m certain that many of you already know but I am still thrilled to share this news with you.  Anybody that has read my blog would know that Hang Fire Smokehouse are incredible.  They were voted ‘Best Street Food’ by the BBC, launched Wales’ first craft soda and obviously cook the most incredible Barbecue food – you should do anything they can to go and eat their food.  However, I realise that this is not always possible and so the announcement that they are releasing their very own cookbook is incredibly exciting.  Now you can cook their food at home!  

The book, which is yet to be titled, will tell the story of their journey across America, including detailed knowledge about grilling and smoking plus tips on how to build a smoker.   I have attempted to make a smoker myself.  You can read about this by clicking here, but I’m going to suggest you read this book first because I can guarantee their version will be better. The book will contain over 100 the recipes that I know will be unbelievable and is due for release in spring 2016.

The announcement was made over the weekend during their masterclass ‘The Alchemy of BBQ’ at the Abergavenny Food Festival, which was the first event to sell out in just 24 hours.  I was invited to Abergavenny Food Festival myself but unfortunately blogging isn’t an occupation for me and I had to work.  Very disappointed that I missed it.

We delivered our masterclass to an audience made up of people who were really keen to dive into the world of slow and low and folks that have supported us from the beginning. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait.  My collection of barbecue cookbooks is steadily growing and I think this will be up there as one of best.
